I'm doing some reseach on the Bible and I'm looking for a little help. Using the stories of Saul, David, and Solomon, as well as Isiah and Ezekial, what are the differing emphases in the two groups of writers. Biblenotes is a fanastic site. But, I'm really doubting my faith and I don't understand why this world completely contradicts the teachings of the Bible. Quite honestly, so far, I think the Bible teaches sexism and homophobia and that's wrong. If you could please tell me otherwise, do so. Explain to me why such suffering goes on here on earth and how such a God just lets it happen. I know he's there. But I can't really trust him. If the Bible is God's word that I think God's full of shit. He's knows exactly where we're going and what's gonna happen to us the day we're born...fate. Please, please, please, write back.

I know that Biblenotes isn't a way out from reading the Bible but I've tried to read the Bible and I always start from the start and I never get very far. I keep reading it over and over but it doesn't make much sence and I keep getting lost. I beleive in God and everything he has done and is but I need help understanding all of this. I think there should have been a more careful study of the book of Ecclesiastes. Although the book has a Pessimistic tone it is really a book of wisdom. The auther is trying to tell his audience of the different life cycles and that God has a plan for all people. The main theme of the book is vanity, and that even though life seems meaningless God has wonderful plans for every living creature
